Hey Guys,
The wife and I plan on heading up your way from Louisiana on May 8th. We are planning on staying a couple nights in Durango then head to the Grand Canyon.
Will we be too early to do any trails, because of the snow?

There are allot of trials open year round at lower altitueds. As said tho the best is to check with the ranger districts in the area. A trail could be blocked by snowfall in the middle of June.

Late june a buddy of mine got stuck in the snow at 10.000+/- feet.

So I spoke to the guys over at High Country yesterday as I'm looking to buy the new AEV tire carrier. They said there are four others already on order, which means that others on here might be getting ready for an install. If so, let me know. We could do these all at once and crank them out..

Anyone else purchase and installing one of these soon???

Hey all,

I've been visiting this site as a guest for about a year ago and finally joined about three months ago when I bought my JKU. I'm looking to find a local group (I'm in Denver) to start going on trails with. I'm fairly new to wheeling so would like to learn how to do this correctly. I don't want to be that yahoo that just goes out and gets in over my head. Hopefully I can attend some meet ups and get to know a few members before things kick off this summer.

Dan

Welcome Dan!

I am in the springs area so if your ever headed south for a trail let me know. We all gotta start some where and it's good that u had the intelligence to not get started by finding yourself stuck in the woods alone hoping for some one to pass by.

Thanks. I definitely want to do this right. I work done in the springs one day every other week. Maybe I'll stick around one afternoon.
