I can't think of a better vehicle to own. Wife has a Jku with 140,000 miles on it and still loves it, I will have mine until I die or are too old to drive.

Looking forward to the new model and will hand the Jku down to my son when he starts driving.

I have to agree with everything people have been saying here. Used to have an '04 mustang. I wanted a mustang ever since I was a little kid. And I really did love that car. But then I traded it in on a Jeep and WOW! Never thought I would get into a vehicle so many times and just smile. The Jeep does it to me, and I really don't miss the Mustang as much as I thought I would. I will drive this jeep into the ground before I give it up.

Buy that man a drink. You hit the nail on the head with this one for many of us.

I should have bought a jeep a long, long time ago.

Completely agree.

I have had mine for 4 months now and already put 20,000 miles on it. Traveling for work sucks in that aspect, but I guess that just gives me more to explore with all the places I take it. It seems everyday all I do in my spare time is look for something new to do to it, and tinker with it.

Well stated. I consider myself a biker (2010 Street Glide) but if I have to be in a cage I want it to be a Wrangler. Went through a couple year hiatus when my son was born between an 08 2-Door and the (new to me) 2010 JKU I've had for 2 months now and it just feels so right to be back. I'm excited to share the experiences with my little dude.

The mrs and I had an addition to the family this past year. So that means the me toys had to go and the family toys came in. We sold our harley rocker and our hot rod that dynoed over 450hp 500ft lb's tq to the tires and barely weighed 3000lb's for our jk. Yea the power of the JK is almost non existant but theres something about no top and no door crusin and knowing that I can go any damn were I want that makes me love this thing. Heck, when this little 3.8 goes im already workin on the wife to do the ls swap. Ive owned a motorcycle since I was 14 and to be honest this thing completly takes away the feeling of needing to have one. Plus the technology that people are playing with behind the wheels these days is scary as a motorcyclist.

Love this thread!

During the last recession we downsized from two vehicles to one and in that process I traded my 2007 JKU Sahara for a new Honda Accord. The Honda was super quiet, had excellent gas mileage, rode smooth as a baby's butt, and didn't give me a lick of trouble. And I hated it. I tried doing the "Honda wave" but it didn't catch on. It wasn't a terrible driving experience, but it also wasn't something that made me happy. It was simply a tool to get from point a to point b. I had no joy driving it.

About a year ago it was time to add a second vehicle. My wife picked out a Honda CRV. She loves it. But it's not my thing. I had been thinking about trading the Honda Accord in for another Jeep since the day we purchased it. My wife finally convinced me to pull the trigger.

About a month ago I traded it for a 14 JKU Rubi. I LOVE IT! I can once again totally relate to the "joy" of driving. It actually makes my happy to get in it and go somewhere. It doesn't matter where. Anywhere. I look for excuses to run errands in the Jeep. The words "Will you run to the..." is music to my ears. And I have my Jeep wave back! The wrong has been righted. The stars are once again aligned. All is good.

It's an added bonus to have the coolest vehicle in the lot when I pick my kids up from school. It's awsome to have my daughters friends fighting over who gets to go with her four wheeling this weekend.

Yes, it's a Jeep thing, and we all understand.

Right on 7kings... I have owned a few jeeps over many years and the feeling you get when you are driving it just never fades. Will always have a jeep in my garage.
