I have the 3' Firestick on a spring with the quick disconnect mounted to the TerraFlex spare tire mount. LOVE the TerraFlex mount and the quick disconnect. I'm not so crazy about the spring tho......................antenna keeps bouncing all over the place when wheeling, Kind of leaning towards dropping down to a 2' or 2 1/2' antenna w/o the spring

I used the spare tire antenna mount kit from Quadratec. Comes with a 4" Firestick. 18" of coax cable (which should be plenty, at least for a 2-door) and the mount supplies. I just ran it through the grommet on the passenger side of the tailgate and followed the wire for my third brake light. It took maybe 2 hours total install with some help.

Here is a pic of the mount from Quadratec and 4'Firestick. Cable was long enough to get to my radio at this location.

I guess its normal thing but the more I come on here, the larger the "wish list" gets for the Jeep

I used to have the same problem with the antenna floppin all over the place. I went to the cb store where I bought it in the first place and they brought out a couple of different springs. Apparently they are stiffer ones out there. The one I have now is much stiffer and I bumped up from a 4' to 5'.

Got the 4' firestick and tire mount from quadtratic. Easy install and works great. All I need to do now is tune my antenna
