It doesn't look bad from outside the Jeep either.

I like the look of that. I might go with that. Nice mic, I have the same one.

Anyone else have any pics?

Heya ZoomZoom, looks like we've got the same CB and mounting . I got mine from an engineer friend who got it when he was in college (15-20 yrs). And it works like a charm. I mounted my CB in the same spot, but I used industrial velcro and left off the bracket. It's super easy and you don't have to drill holes any where. I plan on buying the tuffy center console and putting it in there. with the velcro set up taking it on and off is really easy and if you're in an accident it shouldn't fly off and hurt someone. I like the thread.

Any problems with it mounted in that location? I like the accessibility on the dash, but not sure if I really want to put it there. Might do it like this to have accessibility of it and out of the way/hidden. I would love to see a picture of that if you could get one. I appreciate it.

Anyone else have some pics? Come on lets see them. There are a few of us here trying to decide where to mount the full sizes. The Cobra 75 isn't for everyone. LOL

That's exactly the cb I have, I'll go shoot my setup in a bit.

I still have power running to the cigarette lighter adapter, and I still haven't mounted my mic holder, but I'm happy with the unobtrusive location and the speaker shoots right up to my ear.

Thanks for the pics I appreciate it. It doesn't get in the way or bother you on longer trips with the CB there? Meaning it doesn't keep you from being the most comfortable does it? I like that setup as well. I might have to go with that. I will just need to see if it interfers with my leg.

In my TJ I had my CB mounted under the dash on the passenger side, and I could reach the controls from the driver seat, but when people rode with me they said that it took away from their leg room. I want to be comfortable and I would like my passengers comfortable without taking any space away.

Just in case you hadn't seen them, Tuffy has two options for mounting a CB in the JK which also allow them to be securely locked up when not in use so that thieves can't walk away with the radio. We have a Cobra 29 mounted in both.

Here is the JK Full Console:

and here is the Overhead Security Console:

I don't even notice it. The jeep itself is far from the "most comfortable", but I forget the cb is there unless i'm using it.

When it was in my YJ, I had it mounted where the stereo would have been.. It was kind of neat looking.. and out of the way..
When I got the wsx unit, I specifically wanted that one because it was sized perfect to pair with a head unit for a double din dash hole. I had the dash kit and everything, but my crazy expensive stereo harness was defective and I gave up on the whole project. I mounted the cb where it is and forgot about it.
