so my cb is in. i think have the swr set right. it is around 1.4 and 1.6 on both channel 1 and 40. i can't seem to get it any lower. also when i adjusted the tip, it didn't make much difference unless i screwed it way up. is that low enough? i haven't tested it yet.

 

Those levels sound good you should be fine.

can be used inline if you want. I took mine out so it doesnt get bashed around.
