What i did with my antenna. I bought an a pillar light mount for the drivers side, ran my coax through the drivers side fire wall and hooked my antenna up there, good ground plane from the hood.

why you guys using firesticks? they are way too stiff! and it's annoying when bouncing all over the place when sitting on a spring.

We are using wilson silverload flex, 4' whip, ajustable, and man, THESE ARE FLEXIBLE!! you can bring both ends together without fear to break it. And they perform well!
