I screwed mine into the radio speaker bridge on the roll bar. I used the dome light wire for power (with an inline fuse) and the ground in the dome/speaker module for the ground and I mounted the antenna in a factory hole in the body. Works well, but I'm missing my dome light and the CB will shut off about 30 seconds after the truck is turned off. I'd like to find a separate always-hot wire for the CB and dome to share. Is there any type of always hot wire in the JK like there is behind the glove in the TJ?

Thanks!

CB mount in dash under factory buttons in front of shifters is where I wanted to put it. If I mess up, I found out that OEM plastic piece that seems simple enough to cut is about $35 from Jeep. lol.

Another option if you like is the tuffy overhead console and there is a dash hoop with a center plate that runs back to the roll bar made by I believe High Rock. It's available from 4 wheel parts.

Keep the shiny side up,

Chuck

How did you do that? What did you use to cut out the hole?
