So where have you been mounting the CB's?

Does it come with the Cobra 75, or is it a seperate purchase? If so, where and how much?

I just bought the Cobra 75, and it being shipped to me. I am not sure what bracket will come with it.
Thanks,
I used the Ultra Mount kit from Cool Tech (a sponsor here).

The UltraMount CB Antenna System comes with everything you need to mount the antenna to the inside of the license plate holder. It includes the coax cable and a FireStik FL-4 4' fiberglass antenna. You can also purchase the bracket to hold the all-in-one handset of the Cobra 75 from Cool Tech. It is called the VersaMount.

The bracket that comes with the Cobra will mount onto the VersaMount using the included template.

Here is my setup. It is both mobil and handheld. I have it hooked up to the Ultramount 4' firestick. It works great!

Thats a nifty CB, it can be used as a handheld or mounted, I like it, would be good on the trail for spotting from a distance, rather than yelling.

Could also be useful when driving top/doors off to secure the unit from theft.

Wow! Interesting CB antenna idea. I might steel that. However, I just can't do the school bus/bookshelf bracket mirror thingy. Innovative, but don't see the need or the offroad-library connection

Kidding aside, how's the reception, and transmitting power with this antenna set up? You'd think the ground plane would be better with them mounted more in the center of the vehicle (better rearward transmitting). Do you think one antenna would do it?

A club member was using metal shelving pieces, I asked if he had any left over and if he could build me a cb mount..

Needed an easy way to grab the mic, so I grabbed some velcro that was sitting in the junk drawer.
