In the footwell the wire is yellow with a white tracer. You can find it in the bundle going from the dash down under the carpet just in front of the passenger door

Thanks a lot. Looking forward to trying it. By the way, has anyone tried to take a newer sound bar light with the map lights already in them and mod them into an older JK. Mine is a 07 and I'd like to take a newer light and replace the one I have.

I wired into a another wire in the passenger kick panel ...I believe it was orange with purple stripe don't quote me!... as this was a year ago but I'm sure the thread on adding led's is still in the search. I then ran them under the front dash and then drilled out a small hole in the center above the heater control knobs are and ran wire through ..attached and mine are held in place with a super 3m Black double sided tape. They've been there for a year with no signs of coming undone. I also laid a strip in front of my shifter console where the netting is. All in all pretty easy maybe a half hours worth of twisting around to get them attached but the connecting was easy. I just twisted the wires into the wire that supposedly runs from the light stalk and taped off....so they only come on when the lights come on. Sorry I don't remember the correct wire but they are all in the loom in the passenger kick. I removed the door strap to get a better reach but at 6'2" it was still a bit of contorting to get them in. I really hated how dark the cabin was and these are just enough not to be overkill. think they were 6" or 4" w 12 led's per strip really cheap. Purchased from amazon.
