Anyone install a backup camera?
and second pic is so you can see just under that little mat thing there is a hole you can access to run your wires down, comes out just behind the rear wheel well underneath, run 'em from there how you like
I'm not sure your link helps him out all that much...the way I read his question was that he was just not sure which wires to splice into to get the camera to come on while in reverse...then how to run them...but thats just how I read it
thanks for the photos. That clears it up. I bought the same camera as you. I was going to attach it to the license plate, but I only have one bolt there? How did you attach it to the stock bumper?

damn, wish I'd found this thread earlier, woulda saved me some time...better pics than mine as well, this is the exact same camera I got, the VR3 cheapy from Walmart...I did the same install as the op

Also does the VR3 have a mount easily allows you to detach the screen? I don't want someone walking off with it when I have my top down.

It seems better as the monitor automatically turns on when you are in reverse as opposed to having to switch it on yourself on the VR3.
