H13 to H4 conversion?
Yeah, there has to be somebody that's tried this and can let us know how it works.
You'd have about $70 plus shipping/taxes invested, and you'd have a full headlight mod just like the guys spending $175-$300. It would definitely be worth looking into.

As an experiment , I bought some Delta H13 to H4 adapters from Summit Racing. Then today I picked up two H4 Silverstar sealed beams at Advance Auto. The packages were different from each other, though, and the clerk said the one was new old stock but it was the same. The adapters worked perfectly and when I changed one side and compared it to the stocker, it was much whiter and the beam seemed more focused. But when I swapped the other one, the two beam patterns weren't the same. So, they're going back.
I think the experiment was a success, though. I just need to decide what I want to do for lamps. The ones I tried weren't Ultras and I might try to find some of those.

The experiment was to see if the cheapie sealed beams offer an improvement since the stock reflectors are not good. I just read a review that had nothing good to say about the IPF's. The beam was very uncontrolled, to the point that it's no wonder they're not DOT legal.

The IPF's in my girlfriend's Jeep are fantastic with Halogen bulbs. I used to have IPF on my cherokee and they were excellent as well. However, when you drop in HIDs, then that's when it gets "uncontrolled".
I personally run Hella E-Codes and ran them with a harness and IPF Fatboy X4 bulbs. Those were BRIGHT and had excellent pattern. Now I run HIDs in the Hellas and the light is brighter, but the beam pattern is not as good.
The Delta lights are the ones that you want to avoid. I tried a set of those and did not like them at all!
My consensus.... the IPFs have a sharper light pattern and more spread than the Hellas on low beam. Hellas have more focused light in the front of the Jeep but has an annoying "blank" spot in the middle of the road.
High beam - the IPFs shine like a flashlight with a nice narrow high beam pattern. The hellas are a wide high beam pattern.
If you use high beam, go with the IPFs. If you use low beam a lot, go with Hellas.
EDIT: There is a "DOT" stamp on the IPFs on my girl's jeep and a "DOT" on my Hella lens as well.
