L.e.d. Tailights
I've been waiting on a set of LED tail lights for my JK. I had them on my TJ and loved them. And I didn't use the round lights either. I had a set that looked stock. The also used two levels of brightness instead of the dual patterns that these offer, which I think is of better value. These are close to what I've been looking for, but I must agree, the price is way out there. I got my others from a guy on eBay and they were way cheaper. When someone comes up with a clean replacement that uses a solid pattern for a little less money, I'm in... I also wonder about the hyper-flash. Anyone know if these are self-correcting, or will they require a flasher mod?
In case anyone's interested, here are my LED taillights.

I'll have to take a pic at night 'cause this picture doesn't do them justice. The brake lights are brighter than stock... I used some red dual-intensity "Luxeon" LEDs for the brakes, and some white ones for the backup lights. I had to wire a 6 Ohm resistors on the brake wires (one on each side) to fix the 'fast flash' behavior common to LED swaps like this.
More info on the LEDs: superbrightleds.com/specs/315x-xLX3.htm
And the load resistors: superbrightleds.com/pdfs/load_resistor_info.pdf
I probably should have tried the 25 Ohm resistors first, to see if they worked, but I was a little lazy and just went with the 6 Ohm. :-)
Here's a shot of the resistor on the driver's side:

Mounted on the driver's side (I used the sheet metal as heat-sink):

And the passenger side:
