I used the door edge Trim and keep the bar straight. I am now going to lower it so it is even withe the top. I get flapping on the top at 70 MPH. I lowered it down previously. When at the original height I had a lot of flapping on the soft top. I figured even with the roof line will hopefully eliminate the rest

It might be a good idea to keep in mind what those fins are for. I imagine some of the name brand companies are actually calculating heat transfers when they design their optics. Blocking off the fins (or insulating them with weather stripping) is going to hurt their ability to cool. Probably wont really affect many people, but if you live in a hot area and use your lights a lot it could end poorly.
