I just finished tying up all the loose ends. Completely sealed the front 2 boxes, stuffed bar speakers and sealed them, wired all 4 speakers to 2 channels, and wired subs in series bridged to other 2 channels. What can I say... this is one of the best car audio systems I’ve ever herd! No distortion at super high levels, sub thumps, and voices are crystal clear. I'm passed impressed, actually amazed. Everyone says you can't achieve this kind of sound from a jeep, they were wrong! All under a budget. Best mod so far. Will post pictures latter. Just unbelievable!

I've replaced most of my Infinity system just recently. I still have my OEM stereo but I don't think I'll hang on to it. I think the only thing left Infinity are the two front speakers and tweeters. Those might be next. So far, sounds great.

When I replaced my Infinity head unit, I needed the dash kit and the $130 wiring adapter kit (forgot what it was called). I called Crutchfield and got it for half price.

did your soundbar speakers seal all the way? For some reason mine did not create a seal when using the adaptors so now I need to make a new adaptor that will seal and prevent a gap.

No it did not and don't think you fully can without major work. I even have air seeping threw the dome light.
If you are using Polk adapters supplied by Polk, assuming you purchase the db651, they work just fine but need to be sealed both sides. I purchased a bath tub seal found at home depot to use as a gasket. Has one sticky side so made working with it easy. The double gasket is a must or it will Sound like crap.

Ok thats what i thought. I may do your bathtub seal trick if that worked for you to get as best a seal as i can without going crazy.

That looks great! I can only imagine how it sounds. I can honestly say that some of the best modding I have done is usually my stereos! I was really into it before I had kids. It is fun and it lets you get closer to the music.

Now, I have a dedicated listening room in my home and a Jeep to play in. I doubt I will ever get around to messing with the stereo in it, but maybe you have inpsired me to play again!
