Now, I have a dedicated listening room in my home and a Jeep to play in. I doubt I will ever get around to messing with the stereo in it, but maybe you have inpsired me to play again!

I never thought I would gut my system. I think infinity did a great job with what they had, Just wanted more. Also all I had to purchase was the amp and speakers so I did not come out of pocket much. For amp and 4 speakers it was 344 with shipping. you can't beat that.

When my wife and I moved into our house she let me have one of the spare rooms. A little music and movie get away. It's nice to have a place to unwind.

I am having trouble getting the driver side dash speaker enclosure out. Anyone able to walk me through it? Your set up looks great... How did you secure the tweeters to the factory pod?

Front speakers are rattling like no ones business. Adapters supplied by polk I think are tapping against the factory plastic box. I'm ether going to hot glue, silicone, or gasket to create a seal. I inserted a peace of foam to press down factory speaker connection and create more volume. Filling the remaining void with insulated fill Friday. Polks are smaller in size compared to factory so I could see fitting larger if desired.

Tweeters fit perfect with some trimming and sound unbelievable. Non obtrusive and look great. Amazing clarity they added to the music.

The rear speakers have an annoying buzz at certain frequencies and will receive the same treatment as fronts. Really fill out the sound waking them up.

I'm also forgoing the idea of add the Sony amp. I can't for the life of me find a place for it. The kicker amp after Friday will be pulling double duty powering speakers and sub. The kicker is 2 ohm stable so front and rear will run on 2 channels and sub bridged on the other 2.

Now the kicker amp... I found an ingenious location for it. I have not taken pictures of it yet but I fabricated a bracket to mount under the glove box. It's visible but not in the way at all. I will take some with doors off this weekend.

All in all I'm very pleased. With amp halfway up it's blistering loud, with doors and top off. Definitely a worthy upgrade. The speakers thump even without a sub. I took a few pics with more to come. Also invest into nut drivers. Trust me.

How hard is it to put the Tweeters in?

The drivers side pod has bolts at the bottom of it and on the side. Once the lower panel is removed, it just take patience to work the thing out.

As far as tweeters, once you remove the factory tweets you can enlarge the hole and the new tweeter will press in for a snugg fit. You can glue stick the back of it if you want to make sure they never come out.

Everyone says you can't achieve this kind of sound from a jeep, they were wrong! All under a budget. Best mod so far. Will post pictures latter. Just unbelievable!
Question? Looks like your running your amp in the following configuration? Is that Correct?
- 60w RMS x 2 channels @ 4ohms for the front 6 speakers
- 175w RMS Bridged @4 ohms for the rear sub

It says those Polks are rated at 100w RMS. Is there a drop in power because you basically have 6 speakers running off of two chanels, or does each mid/ tweet really get an average 60w? If you could do it over again would you choose a different amp? Thanks.
