2Dr Expedition Mods - lets see them!
lol

Sorry I missed out on the Black Hills deal ...had some things come up.
I did something similar but used a aluminum hitch rack from Menards and bought some ubolts and two pieces of aluminum square tubing.
If you look thru the back window you can see the aluminum tube coming down from the roll bar.
I do like yours a little better as it is a little bigger.....
Starting my 2Dr Expo Jeep and Trailer Combo. I have a few Items on the back:
Tailgate
And am working on my M416. So far i have the frame completed. Complete strip down, blast and rebuild. Currently just waiting to get the tub back from the sandblaster. Then its time for a roof and RTT.

He put it together in a day. Its a big drawer on guides. The guides were the expensive part. Bout $100 each. They each have a 250 pound rating. I did purchase the wrong guides tho. There are two kinds. 1) that allows you to remove the drawer from the box via a locking lever and 2) the ones I purchased are screwed in and if you want the drawer out you have to remove the screws. I have also added carpet to the inside of the box to keep stuff from sliding around and to dampen the sound. The top of the box is in two pieces. This way I don't have to remove my hard top to get the top of the box installed. I have also added aluminum tie down tracks on the top of the box to keep anything I put on top of the box strapped down and secure.......

Hi
Just want to say that Tom Sheppard that has over 40 year of vehicle expeditions have choosen a 2 door Jeep wrangler for this.
He has been a 4x4 consultant to General Motors
"Author, Tom Sheppard,
ex Royal Air Force test pilot and 4x4 consultant to a major manufacturer, has accumulated more than 100,000 desert and overlanding miles over the years"
He knows everything about every 4x4 out there and choosen a Jeep Wrangler 2 door, that is so cool.
Just before he had a Gelandewagen

Tom with a Landrover

He also says that the traction control when in low range is almost as good as locking diffs, so the traction control is very good in a Jeep Wrangler.
I am reading now his new book 3rd edition "Four-by-four driving" and understand now that this guy know what he is talking about. It is very intresting read.

Soon I will read the new 3rd edition Vehicle-dependent Expedition Guide
