Awesome, thanks for the quick reply and review! Edit: I'm glad you pointed that out, since I had only seen their Slimline rack. It looks like you mount two rails/tracks to the roof, and then the "feet" and crossbars can be adjusted forward and back? Any photos of the attachment from the inside?

While the four-door JK's have an undeniable advantage with storage space, and I think they're more stable at highway speeds, I do favor the smaller two door JK for my "expeditions." I like to keep things simple, and I know I'm not going to be trying to conquer North America's most demanding 4x4 obstacles.
Packed for a week long hunting and fly fishing trip:
My mods started with better tires (good old BFG All Terrains) 265/75's on 16" rims. I have heavy duty tire chains for all four. Four new coil springs from Teraflex got rid of that factory nose-low look, and gave the little JK a bit more ground clearance.
Next up was a 10,000 pound winch, because from decades of wheeling experience, I knew that I'd get stuck someday, or someone else would get stuck, or a fallen tree would need to be cleared from the trail. The JK hasn't been stuck yet, but I've recovered stuck 4x4's and have cleared fallen trees from the trail. Initially I mounted the winch on the stock bumper, but recently got an aftermarket bumper. Not yet installed.
Just recently the JK got a nice upgrade by swapping from the stock 3.21 open diffs, to 4.10 ratio gears with a Yukon Dura Grip limited slip rear and a Yukon air locker front diff.
It's all working out rather well for me. The little Jeep does everything I ask, and does it well.
Beefed up the protection a bit with some rocksliders and a new rear bumper from Smittybilt. Front bumper to follow. Soon I hope!
Our JK's strike me as remarkably capable vehicles in stock form. We can tailor them to what we want, pretty easily. The aftermarket support for them is amazing. Great little rigs that will go pretty much anywhere I've ever wanted to take a vehicle.

I have been thinking about raising the floor 6" or so to be able to store gear under the floor when I go on trips. I tend to have stuff piled up the driver side rear window sandwiched between a card table. I'm going on a trip in 3 weeks and want to be better organized. This would allow me to store a lot of small things in a long skinny tote as well as being able to shove my sleeping pad and a few other things under there.

It looks like you didn't necessarily raise the floor but made it level all the way across. Is this correct?
I have been thinking about raising the floor 6" or so to be able to store gear under the floor when I go on trips. Yeah it just made the floor level and provided a surface all the way to the back of the front seats that I could add tie downs to. The U-bolts spot welded to the floor that the rear seat mounts to were getting in the way and I wanted to raise the floor up just enough to clear these. Basically all it is is a 3/4" piece of plywood that I cut to fit and carpeted. I think it would be fairly simple to do the same thing but add some legs underneath to gain some elevation.
