There are some great rigs here.

I'm just starting and don't have much to show so far but have some fairly difficult decisions to make soon. My main co-pilot is a great dane who takes up most of the rear cargo area. So the already small space for gear is even smaller. I really have been looking hard at the CVT Black Butte ground tent (especially with the group buy) but am getting nervous about it fitting in the rig. I'm not sure if I want a roof rack because of the cost for a good one and loss in mileage but packed up the tent is 6'7" long. I can't think of another way to get it packed.

I am planning on getting a rear bumper with provisions for gas cans and an above the tire cooler rack like the LOD 4th gen or an offering from Shrockworks but they are super expensive. I'd really like a trailer like the Manley OHV ones that can be used for stuff around the house then loaded up for camping as well. I think it would cost just as much to revamp an old military trailer and be a lot more effort.

Thanks for the pics.

Hey Joe, what roof rack system is that? I want the ability to carry a couple of sea kayaks; I've been considering a Yakima rail system, or maybe a Surco rack with the Jeep hardtop adapter. Anyone use that brand or have any comments? Not sure I can spring for a Gobi Stealth yet, as much as I'd love one.

Check out frontrunneroutfitters.com. It's a frontrunner load bar system on tracks I had to drill into the roof. Had it about four months and no leaks whatsoever. They make great products that are South African made and extremely innovative. They have kayak holders too I believe. My favorite part is there are T-channels in the bars that make mounting things really easy. They make some really nice full racks as well.

I had a surco for a while but it felt cheap to me.

Hope that helps

Default Hey ScootersJK

Where did you get the air compressor mount? It looks longer then the ones I've seen.

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply and review!

Edit: I'm glad you pointed that out, since I had only seen their Slimline rack. It looks like you mount two rails/tracks to the roof, and then the "feet" and crossbars can be adjusted forward and back? Any photos of the attachment from the inside?
