That looks awesome. If you need a two door to mess around with, I'm only a few hours away!

Today was "leak test day", he says with nervous anticipation...

Step 1 of leak testing was driving at high speed on the interstate listening for wind noise. If there was wind noise anywhere, it could mean a gap in the weatherstripping and I'd need to check that area for the possibility of leaking.

No wind noise, the Safari Cab is very quiet.

Step 2 of leak testing consisted of pouring water along the windshield joint, a likely place to leak from heavy rain runoff.

No leaks there.

Step 2 was a trip through the automatic car wash.

No leaks there either. The car wash doesn't necessarily prove that there wouldn't be a leak in an extended torrential downpour, but I'll declare it leak-free.

Nice and clean now...

Thank you.

One thing I do need a 2dr for is the exact measurements so the storage compartment I posted the other day clears the roll bar. I think I can get the measurements I need from a 2dr on the local Jeep dealer's lot though, so no need to make a few hour drive for that.

It would be fun to give the factory hardtop modular conversion a try on a Jeep though, maybe that would be worth a drive...

Since I just took the new JK Safari through the carwash, I just had to take some photos of it all clean, so please forgive me for posting a bunch more photos of it...

It's been very cool as a viewer to see this come to fruition so I'm sure as the fabricator and owner that it must be super rewarding.

No complaining here! You can post all the pictures you want, we love seeing them. Congratulations on completing this project. The top came out great and I hope you and your wife enjoy having a modular hardtop that the rest of us can only drool over.
