thats horrible...well, i guess 16 year olds shouldnt be doing either hahaha. so thats good, it just seems kind of strange, is this required of everyone or simply minors?
It's not a test, as in urinalysis, but a written test on the perils, pitfalls and legalities of drinking/drugging and driving. And, yeah it's required of everyone who's getting a license for the first time.

I think it's great because it clears up a lot of the myths they hear from their friends.

Backing out of the garage at 14 years old in my dad's wretchedly janky 1989 Nissan mini-truck (pre-Frontier...mind you). Shifted the manual into reverse and actually SMOKED the tires backing out of the garage...good times.

P.S. - I learned on my mom's automatic Honda Civic after that and didn't attempt stick shift again until I was 20. HA HA HA HA HA!!! (I got it down PAT now!)

My first driving lessons were in a golfcart, at a camp ground. All permanent campers would use golfcarts to drive around instead of their cars.
My first off-road lesson was at the same camp ground there were trails in the back woods we would take the golfcarts back there. I got stuck trying to drive through a small creek.( I didn't see the tree that was just below the water.)

That is totally awesome!

My daughter attempts to drive as well as she stands up behind the sterring wheel. (She is 2). But don let her age fool you, she knows the difference between a car or truck and, of course, there is the JEEP.

Excellent family oriented subject matter, you have inspired many.

The smile on her face said it all. Top down, in a kewl Jeep equals one very happy girl who'll be talking about it in school. All her boyfriends will hear the word Jeep, top down, and then ask when is she getting her license.

Way to go!

And yeah, I remember my 1st lesson, it was on a 2 horsepower buggy, only I had to hook up the engines 1st! actually it was on my Dad's lap in a 39 Chevy 2 dr sedan. Making my first left turn put me square in the lane of opposing traffic. Turned a bit too sharp, I was six years old. It was the first time I got to turn the wheel unassisted. Yeah, I was practicing all my young life waiting till I got my 1st license.

Shes definitely gonna be a Daddy's gurl now.
