Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Good looking rigs.... We are going to be building out our 2dr (2012) Rubicon as an expedition model for SEMA this year... We have a new roof rack and the new 2012 version of our "new" modular snorkel system as the base for the build. We see this as a huge market and want to get feedback.. What are some products you guys would like to see made that currently are not available or may need to be designed better.... ??
We will also have a small matching Jeep trailer to go along with the build. This trailer is being built in-house and will be a one off but anything is possible if there is interest..

I have a 2 door and want to do more expedition travel in it , just need to find more products that work with my rig. Just got the RR snorkel to help with the trips.
Good call! Would love to see some interior rack ideas for 2 and 4 door. Maybe some sort of rack also that go over the hardtop windows to provide mounting points such as for bags, etc plus providing sort of a security thing.

The same body following upper section will remain along with our built in deflector and light mounting tabs.
It will tilt back as others do and the rear has been design to stay as close to the body lines (both hard top and soft) as possible. We will design options as the product progresses. I may open a new thread like I did for the snorkel looking for consumer feedback rather than just assuming I know what you will want. I can tell you that it will be targeted towards canoes, mountain bikes, and camping with mounting options that allow for the use of leading manufactures mounting equipment.
An area I really would like to get feedback on would be the basket.... To keep unit cost and shipping cost down we are not supplying a basket built into the design. Because we can offer a separated design we would like to know what has worked best for exploration use. ... Thanks for the help!

As for inside the Jeep... Yes, we have talked about this area in regards to new products. Do not have time to get things made for SEMA but your input would be very helpful... Whatcha want??
Hey! That rack exactly what I am planning for mine. I already have the RR light bar and want to build something that uses it as a front support.
I also want something that attaches to the rear frame and allows for opening the soft top or removing the freedom panels when I am using the hard top. The idea is using this frame to transport my kayak. No need for a basket at this time.
If this is what you are coming-up with I'm in. Any concept drawings?
Can't go wrong with orfab! Here's mine so far! I'm also putting on the AEV 2.5 and leaning towards 315s !

To be fair, a powdercoat that works well in California may not stand up so well to an Ontario winter...but do your research.
