Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Good looking rigs.... We are going to be building out our 2dr (2012) Rubicon as an expedition model for SEMA this year... We have a new roof rack and the new 2012 version of our "new" modular snorkel system as the base for the build. We see this as a huge market and want to get feedback.. What are some products you guys would like to see made that currently are not available or may need to be designed better.... ??
We will also have a small matching Jeep trailer to go along with the build. This trailer is being built in-house and will be a one off but anything is possible if there is interest..

How about just a good suspension kit designed for an offroad trailer that doesn't cost more than the one on my jeep. I have a second-hand offroad trailer with independent suspension that somebody went spring happy with (three coilover springs / shocks PER independent axle!). Result: the puny axle bent under the spring response and now I get to fix it before I can enjoy the trailer. This was a classic case of somebody just throwing more stuff on something without understanding the whole system.
I know other vendors have designed excellent systems (airbags and the works) that they sell on their own complete trailers as well, and I would love to have one of those systems, but I would like something more economically competitive that still meets the need. Of course I can always go out and put my own system together, but I want something that has been engineered and designed to perform both when hauling it from TX to Oregon and when pulled behind the jeep through the trails in Colorado, not somehting I have to change 4 times to get to where I want to be.
Or maybe a trailer that will give the builder different options to play with and is upgradable as they go, kinda like a suspension system, start with the basic and go from there if that's even possible. From mild to wild! And what about a low profile rack for the hood, Idk!
