Bestop has a pretty nice cargo system coming out for the spare tire...think half spare tire cover with MOLLE-ish bags attached to it.

Google "Bestop Spare Tire Organizer". Depending on how much weight those pouches can hold, I'll be moving all my recovery gear to that and free up interior cargo space. Gotta get creative since I've taken the Gobi off.

Called up finishline west today and they said they stopped making the jk bumpers. Oh well. Prolly go with lod or garvin on my rig.

Or fab makes a spare tire carrier that carries Gerry cans and has a hi lift mount. I've seen mods where people have subbed ammo cans for the Gerry cans...and you don't have to replace your stock bumper.

So who here has an extended range or auxiliary fuel tank? Any recommendations? Having 45 gallons or so at your disposal would be amazing.

 

With proper planning you don't need much more then a jerry can or two. 45 gallons is a lot of extra weight.

 

I'll be running that tire organizer with the or-fab carrier. I carry either two fuel or one fuel/one water depending on where we were going when I was more in the overland scene in Idaho.
