Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Quick question for those of you that have made your own offroad trailer. I'm looking to convert a single jet ski trailer into one and looking to put regular wheels and tires on it. Is there an adapter or would I need a different axle to put 35's and some cheap wheels on it? Thanks.
I actually did not too long ago when I bought my utility trailer. Here it is when I first bought it and where I have it now. In the next week or so l be getting the tongue extended with a max coupler , and front rack on the tongue for a propane tank and cooler, and a lid built for it and also braces to strengthen then sides.
Over the long Presidents weekend I finally completed my custom dual battery tray install. The wiring took a fairly long time, since I had to route the wires in a manner that would still let me take it apart when batteries eventually have to be replaced. The Jeep started on the first try
and the Automatic Charging Relay seems to be working as advertised. I really like the quallity of the Blue Sea System relay.
Here is a couple of pictures:
Attachment 425473 Attachment 425474 Attachment 425472
If you look at the top/left corner of the 2nd picture, you can see the wiring coming in from the passenger cabin. This wiring is for the ARB dual Aircompressor mounted under the passenger seat.
The last picture shows what the different fuse holders are for. I am runing both 12V Main & 12V Auxilary power over to the drivers side of the engine compartment where I am going to install two Bussman fuse/relay boxes to supply all the extra accessories for the Jeep (Front Dual Beam driving lights, ARB Fridge/Freezer, Rear camp flood lights, 12V external outlet under rear bumper, Rock Lights, CB/HAM radio, On-demand water pump, charger for 7" tablet and any future expansion. These 2 boxes will be placed in the empty space on the driver side of the brake booster.

I have the Bluesea PN 7622 - ML-Series Heavy Duty Automatic Charging Relay.
hxxp://www.bluesea.com/products/7622/ML-ACR_Automatic_Charging_Relay_with_Manual_Control_-_12V_DC_500A
It also comes in a version without the manual control knob. (PN 7620). You can also wire it up you can control it from inside the Jeep (force connect batteries together for jump starting and force separate batteries). It also have a output for an indicator LED which is on when the 2 batteries are connected together.

Finished installing my ARB twin compressor under the passenger seat this weekend (see post #20 in this thread):

This compressor is FAST. I am very impressed with performance and it is a lot quieter than I expected!. One more thing completed on the Overland Jeep checklist :-)

I like this. Very creative - nice idea/use of dead space. Good job!
