also, stupid question but, how did you get the power in your left cig lighter to work? Mine only works on the right side.
There is no monthly service fee for the Nexus 7 itself. Internet access is through Wi-Fi. So, if you tethered it to your phone, you might have to pay tethering fees. And if you use pay Wi-Fi services (such as at Petro gas stations), there might be a fee. But, I just use my home Wi-Fi and the free service at rest stops, certain restaurants (Macdonalds, Denny's, IHop, etc). On the road, I use the device without Internet connection, having downloaded everything I need to the device itself (it's why I chose to use the apps I use).

As for the cigarette lighter, it works when the Jeep is turned on. The power port works at all times. This is good for the Nexus 7, because it's smart enough to stay on (no screen saver) when the Jeep is powered, and usually (some apps override this) turn itself off when the Jeep is turned off.

Thanks a lot. That garage is my Dads. We are big car collectors. My garage is featured in Dream Garages and Shops 2013 edition. It can be found at Lowes.

Just thought I would let you guys know when walking through Lowes this morning I stumbled on a cool expedition accessory. Rubbermaid has a product called the Action Packer, part of their rugged storage line. The bin is very solid and well built. It has a nice latch system that can be locked. It is 24gal and has a very rugged look. Perfect for a tool kit, grill, tow ropes so on. I paid 34.99 for it and worth every penny. I have wanted a type of storage for the back that wasnt expensive, useful and looked good. Just thought I would share. Sorry for the iphone pics. Much much better construction than a standard bin. Dimensions are 18.5x26.1x16.9

My dad has used these for years in his pop-up campers (non expedition camping). They are durable and sturdy.
