Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Do you have any pictures? Any experience with this rack and a soft top?
Having to tilt the rack back to fold or unfold the soft top is what has been keeping me from getting one of those racks.

What if we have cargo, a kayak or other stuff on the rack? It will not work.
I saw some folks found a way to set the soft top without having to tilt the rack but it was too cumbersome.
The day someone comes with a soft top that allows closing and opening without having to tilt the rack I'll get a set rack+new soft top.

I'm surprised JK forum hasn't built in an Expedition JK forum yet
Aside from that...what do you lads do for cooler/refrigeration? I will own the ARB or Engel one day, but at present I'm still paying off my Gobi rack Tepui tent (pics soon
)
Just wondering if there are any hacks to this soggy issue aside from going with a conventional premium cooler like a Grizzly for the interim.

, hard top freedom panels work well in not having to tilt the rack back. Still very cumbersome, but doable.

Yep. But nothing still replaces a fully opened soft top. :-)
It's super sunny today, but here you go!

The front is attached to the A pillars via flat pillar brackets.

The Rear is a passthrough design that allows for the rack to be mounted to the rollbars.

I havent tried it yet but the rack can be removed and installed on the jeep while topless and the freedom panels can come out easily with the rack installed.
It's incredibly strong.
http://youtu.be/Tz-Zw5cyBEo As far as soft tops, I don't think that there is a solution yet. I immagine you could mount it to the rollbars when topless and possibly attach it if the back side windows were removed/unzipped. I don't have one so I can't verify.

I've never had an issue tilting back my Gobi to open the soft top. If you lean your knees against the bumper and shift your weight back while grabbing the rack it gives you a good bit of momentum to get it up. I tried using the strap once and that was PITA to hook it on and get the leverage, etc. For me, the rack is indispensable!!!
