Personally I toggle between the paid subscription Accuterra and the good ole' USGSs Topo.
The Accuterra is nice for figuring out if you are on BLM land, State, NP, NM or private land, but not all 4WD trails show up.
All I have are the USGS topos. I'm surprised, despite how dated they are, how accurate they are for off-highway roads. I have a friend who has a Garmin hiking GPS device, and when we use it for our wheeling activities, he constantly take us down roads that go nowhere. I tell him that my quad topos show the road as not going through, but off we go, only to have to turn around and retrace out path. It has happened at least a half dozen times. I think now they are trusting my 1970s era maps that much more! LOL.

It looks like that ARB awning fits the Gobi absolutely perfectly. Do recall which size it is? Also, is there much added noise from it and do u only mount it for trips or leave it on?

Thanks,
Drew

I've been using the USTopo Imagery maps. They're pretty good and fairly accurate.

LOL :-)
The paid subscription Accuterra maps are kind of the same as you are experiencing with the Garmin Hiking GPS, except many tracks do not show up that are shown in the USGS Topo.. I have also noticed that the Accuterra maps take up more space than USGS Topo. Would be nice if one could overlay the land information from the Accuterra on top of the USGS Topo..

A Blu-tooth/OBD port reader. They sell for anywhere from around $12 to 35 or more. Cheaper ones seem to have more problems with connectivity--typical Chinese crap shoot whether you get a usable product or not. This is the one I have and you can see from the reviews what I mean. Mine works fine, regardless of the comments there ...

x2

I'm planning to add a Gobi over the winter and had been going back and forth between the 2000mm and 2500mm ARB awnings. Whichever you have, looks about perfect. Please let us know, thanks!

Great looking JK Phnman23. I see u mounted lights on the back of your Gobi and u still drop your top. If U don't mind me asking, how did u run the wiring?

Very nice setup! Can I ask what wheels/tires/suspension lift (if any) you've got there? It's a really nice look.
