All these videos are great, keep them coming its nice to watch them in Australia.

Anyway on to how my rig is coming along

Unpacked my Sharpwrax which I picked up today from the freight company.

Steve had packed the rack up very well, it was in a big box and was packed up so no parts could hit each other in transit, every item that was powder coated was packed in bubble pack and was very well protected.

Unpacking the rack I was really surprised by how strong it looks and feels, I had seen pictures of Steve's development racks but seeing it yourself is a different matter, its light to in the hands which is a god-send considering all the weight we add to our Jeeps with bars and skid plates and rock sliders. This thing really was worth the money.

Details unpacked

Rear hinge assembly

So with the chores out the way I had a trial fit up to see if it all went together ok, every hole lined up fine, all parts were accounted for...good work Sharwrax.

I didn't add the middle bars yet but this thing is as strong as with out them, added the Yakima Mega Warrior to see how well it went on and if I had to mod it in any way...nope fits like a glove...only thing is its bigger than the rack so where Steve (Sharpwrax) has allowed for lights to be mounted on the front I'm going to have to find a different solution as the cage come's forward too much, the back will be fine and with have 2x small LED flood lamps. I will still pre-run all the wiring so its on the rack which will make it easier to wire up later.

Finally got the Sharpwrax rack fitted on the Jeep, this thing is strong, I can hang on to it and rock the Jeep from side to side.

Next thing is to work out mounting fuel cans and water and what else is going on top for trips.

The rack looks nice. How difficult is it to tilt it back to put the top down?

Mark,

Do you notice a gas milage difference when airing down in the back country? I have never aired down, but i think I might on the next trip to soften the bumps some what.
