Nice video. Makes me want to get out there. What camera are you using? a GoPro?

Several different cameras, including on this trip, two GoPro's, two Canon 5D Mk IIIs, and two Canon 7Ds (for three photographers).

Just a FYI. There's a group buy going on in March for CVT roof top tents. Looks like the discount will be 30% off (need 3+ buyers and there appears to be a lot more than that).

Check out Expedition Portal under For Sale, Expedition Equipment (at the bottom). Hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes here, but they sell a quality product that's reasonably priced to begin with, and is related to the topic at hand. 30% off just puts it into a really nice price bracket.

Mark, fantastic video as always.

I don't imagine you can open the back gate with that all loaded up can you? I'm planning a few multi day trips that will need some extra fuel and I haven't modded anything that will accept a gas container yet. I do need rear hatch access though as my co-pilot is a 150 lb great dane. I don't know that I can convince him to shimmy through the passenger door entrance.

Also, what do you have on your CB antenna? I can't tell if thats just a tennis ball. I tried to use a raquetball to keep it from banging on the hard top but the ball split pretty fast. I've got my antenna mounted the same as you. I've been thinking about going a craft store and getting a styrofoam ball, plasti-dipping it black and then drilling a hole through it.

If I take off the gas tank on the right side and the box (I'm not sure if the box will be there) the tail gate opens, barely missing the gas tank on the left. But loaded up, no the back cannot be opened. Should get me to base camp well enough however.

The thing on my antenna is just a worn tennis ball. I can move it up and down as needed. Nothing fancy, it works. It'll spin really fast when I hit it just right with a car wash nozzle, lol.

Good grief!! I started this thread back in the day, whilst I could still remember my old Wrangler07 password and email address. :crazy eyes: Great to see it still going 351 pages later!! Gonna have to browse through this thread this evening!!

The roof rack I had custom made didn't hold up as well as it should have so am about to replace it and have a few other mods on their way from the US. The 33" KM2s have thus far proved to be a good tyre for on and offroad, particularly in our North European wet climate.

As I read this I imagine you arrive at your destination campsite for the night, and you walk around the back and it's like, "Gee. I wonder what happened to that box? I guess it fell off."
