Thanks Roger. Haven't done a rear pic yet, I don't think but side and above pics are posted here at my blog:

EDIT: Give me a few mins and I'll take a rear photo for you and upload it to the blog.

Enjoyed reading about your install. LOL at DR and DF. I did my install mostly by myself, only needing five minutes of help from a friend to heft the side support into place. But then I had good weather.

Mark, it was a nightmare! This wasn't a light shower, either, it was heavy and when your paper template begins to disintegrate you're in big trouble! I would normally have left it until fair weather arrived but we were heading off on a trip the next day so I just had to get on with it as the rack was vital for the trip. I can have a good laugh now but I felt thoroughly sorry for myself at the time. I honestly expected a 2 hour install time on my own, start to finish and hoped to shave a bit off that! The best laid plans of mice o' men....

Luxury. ;-) I think I'll be fine with a 2-dr for a while...I've already removed my backseat, since it will never be used; my wife and I are not only DINKs (Double Income No Kids), but also DILDOs (Double Income Little Dog Owners).
Jurfie, my wife and I have a two door 2012 JK. I still do some backpacking, and she has in the past, so we're real good at packing light and stowing things. It was tempting to buy the four door, but I'm still glad I've got the stubby little two-door. It's fun. First thing I did on getting home from the dealer was to remove the back seat. Occasionally I'll put it back in the Jeep, but never for long!

No question that the 4 door JK's have some tremendous advantages. I just have more fun driving the two door.

Regards, Guy

High-five! We're glad we got the two door too; perfect for us. The dealer tried to push us into a four door since that's all they had on the lot, but I'm glad we held out to get exactly what we wanted. Your Jeep looks great in its natural habitat! And it looks like WA plates...I'm just across the line on the Canadian side of the Peace Arch border crossing; if you're ever up this way, feel free to drop me a PM and maybe we can hook up to hit a trail! I'd love to see some in you neck of the woods one day too.

Sure. Am in "North Central Washington" Wenatchee. Mostly poke around in the mountains and canyons here. Do some fishing & hunting at the appropriate times of the year as well.

Haven't been to Canada in several years. Might be time for another border crossing one of these days!
