I had a 73 Super Beetle. Loved it too. Still wish I had it.

I actually learned to drive on a 73 VW Bug. My parents basically said if I could drive that thing with its manual transmission I could drive any manual out there back then. Thing was a beast to drive. Pretty much always had a manual since then. Found automatics to be a little boring but now with aging I am rethinking that statement. Anyways sorry to get thread off track. This is my favorite thread on the forum here.

I was in the same boat as u are when I made my desision. First I really liked how the ARB went with the lines of the jeep and didn't stick out as far as the JCR did, second I saved a few bucks by going with ARB. Third the reputation for product loyalty and customer service that people were talking about really helped. So far I really like it and have no regrets. I do think I will go with a different brand rear tire carrier though, looking for a more expedition type one than theirs.
