The frontrunner outfitters rack attaches the same way. I was thinking if I could score a hard top I was going to go this route but I decided instead to go with a gobi stealth and my soft top. I should have it in a month approx. I only say this as I thought they had lots of accessories for the rack. I love aev as well. I believe the price point is similar as well. I am slowly getting my rig together. Not as fast for my liking but 4 kids and a wife will do that to you.

Removing these brackets are not really the problem, but rather re-fitting them later when you go to install the rack again (the brackets needs to be installed fairly precise to be flush with the inside of the hardtop). So I fully agree with Mark, that if you ever plan on running a softtop, go with the MBRP rack instead of the AEV.
Thanks this is the info I was wondering about. The MBRP is probably the best option for me still.

It would be nice if my jeep wasn't Marks' jeeps' younger twin brother.

Not expedition picks, but we got a nice 8" last night and expect the same today.
Heading to the garage to put the studded snow tires on for winter

So I'm looking into ordering a new Rubicon unlimited and am stuck on colors. I like Hydro Blue Pearl, Black, and Bright White. My current JK is white. What are your opinions on colors?

I'm a fan of the military-like colors. Jeep Green, Tank Green, Sahara Sand, etc. Of course, this is all subjective and highly personal.

I've never liked Tank or Commando green. However if they still did your green there wouldn't even be a question.

My wife loves the blue but she ended up with a silver. 2014 model back in March last year.
