Cool. I haven't installed a tank, just using the ViAir on-demand compressor, mounted under the hood. Only running my lockers with it, and using it to air up the tires, so no heavy usage. Sure is nice having air on the Jeep!

Finally finished this thing, I really like it and not just because I built it. Makes airing up so much nicer and the cargo floor being a solid smooth floor is perfect for mounting my fridge slide and storage box.

build is coming along.

AEV rack just went on & so far completely satisfied. no MPG hit like Gobi on my last JKUR. nice flat platform to throw yak or RTT on.

sorting gear/cargo for upcoming trip south to WV/NC.

Grenadeacorn - I really like the way you tucked the compressor & tank under the flat lid. Very clean & functional.

My son put a ViAir compressor in the cargo area of his 1998 Cherokee - runs the Ox lockers and airs up his tires - but it's more exposed, and potentially more easily damaged. I don't have a photo of his installation. Very sturdy mount, but kind of hanging out, in the way a bit, where the spare tire was originally.

I like your clean setup much better - makes better use of space! I'm guessing the fan is to cool the compressor?

Regards, CW

That looks great! That rack comes off with the hard top if you wanted, right? I mean it stays all in one piece and you just have to remove the top

Thanks: yes nice and out of sight, better use of limited space. And you are correct, the fan cools the compressor. It has a thermostat that kicks the fan on when temps reach 100 in the box.
