Thought I would post up a pic of the off road trailer I am building. It has a 3'x6' cargo box and storage on the tongue. I was looking for something to haul all our stuff up North to our camp, for adventures and wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be too big to take off road. I am going for a tonneau cover top for now ($ is tight) and someday hope to add a metal lid and the roof top tent and other goodies!

Just read this entire thread and have decided this is exactly what I want to do. I need to get rid of my XK first, and then I'll be getting a 2012 JK. When I was younger I camped all the time with my family, and I miss going on all the trips, going this route will definitely bring back those memories, and create new ones. Also, overlanding is a more remote style of camping than what I'm used to, but I'm all for it. Great pictures everyone, absolutely cannot wait until I'm able to travel to some of these places.

It is a awning from Rhino Rack called Foxwing.
Should be around 500$ or less in the states.
I like it very much.

I like that. Pretty innovative. Would work well with my rig having the kitchen area at the back of the Jeep and living area around the driver's side (vice around the back side of the open tire swinggate.

This is exactly my setup, I'll build up the next weeks. Kitchen/storage in the back. Outsell Fusion 400 tent. (my wife don't like root top tents...)

I will post the final pics...
