I see what you are saying about the uppers. This probably won't help but here you go. 
This is a 1" grid. I can give the CAD file to anyone that wants it. You could print it out and cut the shape if you want. The fronts are slightly bigger than 36" so they would have to be plotted sideways.

For everybody out there who wants to do this, but lacks welding skills, or access to same ; You can use "Panel Adhesive'', automotive epoxies, instead of welding. UPS and auto body shops routinely use adhesives for door skins, quarters, you name it. You can get the appropriate adhesive, in various cure times, as a kit- When done correctly (think Clean metal) the metal will tear before the adhesive will give. Auto Body supply houses have the materials and info- check it out...
Those turned out nice. I would leave the paint the way it is, easeier to repaint from trail rash. I want to see what you do for the front ones now. I would be interested in a PDF template of the front ones or even a scanned set of prints.
