What was done to your JK this week?
You'll bind the suspension if you do since the axle wants to shift to the side by an inch or so. Think about grinding the diff covers?
The track bar bracket that you see was part of my lift kit, I have the Mopar 2 inch stage 2 lift kit that includes that bracket amongst others.

I had never done it before, but after looking at the covers I saw that they only had (for the most part) 3-4 hog rings per seat. Those were easy to replace with the proper tool. I spent $12 at Ace on hog ring pliers and the smallest rings they had. The factory leather was a perfect fit so that was not an issue...the hardest part was assembly and disassembly.
All in all if you use the "if its been put together it can be taken apart " mindset it can be done. Just takes time (5hrs for me) and patience. Knowing I saved all that money makes me feel great...and every mod on my Jeep has been done by my own hands.

I installed Katzkin leather a few years ago. One of the most enjoyable yet painful mods I've ever done. My hands hurt for weeks lol
You just need to make sure you catch all the hog rings on the bars under the material.
Mine took me two days - I didn't have the option of a full day uninterrupted.
