I've had the claws in the past and even a set of MTZ's. The claws were awesome. But, the price point and life on them for what I'm doing just wasn't something I could stomach. The MTZ's are also a great tire, but again, they're not hot for a daily. You can feel the vertical bump of every.single.lug. from about 5mph on. I'm hoping that these will last 40-50k miles and hold up well to the clay, but I'll keep the threads updated. I got them mounted last night.

I got a DV8 hard top. No leaks but man does it make a lot of noise. I probably need to make some adjustments. It will get a good leak test as tropical storm/ hurricane Barry passes

Finally changed the TIPM. It's nice to not have a mess of warning lights glaring and blinking at me. Also the gas gauge is back and my lockers work again. I also stripped and powdercoated the dual battery tray, and pulled all the disintegrating plastic wire loom off and replaced it with heat resistant fiberglass stuff. I rerouted most of the wiring while it was open to better fit the two battery layout. I fixed a 2" melted and lightly corroded section of winch ground wire that was very close to the cat so that's one less fire hazard.

I won’t say neglected, but my JK is in need of some TLC. I finallly have some time to rip out the gross carpet and lay down some interior bed line, clean her up, and install a new Bestop treetop NX. I’ve been running a smittybuilt bikini top for the last 2 years. Need to rip off my bumpers, sandblast and bed line those too! The island life has taken a beating on the Jeep.

Also, got a good pic of us digging out a giant fishing net and cleaning up our beaches!

Default JL Wrangler Tuffy tailgate lockbox in a JK

So hello, my name is Ryan and I have an addiction..........

My addiction is Amazon shopping....... Haha.

So a week a go I bought a tailgate lockbox for our 2015 JK Wrangler, so I was all excited to install it and I put it up against the gate and behold it lines up pretty nice, so i then pull out the instructions and it shows that it's for the 2018 + JL wrangler, UGH!

I put if off for a few days and today got some hardware and made that sucker work!

So if anyone is interested u can make this lockbox work in a JK.

Here is the finished product. I would do a write up but all is required is some self threading screws a tape measure and some means of supporting it while you mark some holes.

Well after clecting parts for the past month, and waiting for a weekend off, I finally got my lift and tires installed. I went with the Teraflex Budget Boost with shocks and Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP in 25.12.50x17. Overall, I'm really happy how everything turned out. I ended up getting about 4.5" in height with the tires and lift.

I used Back to Black on the flares and top..It is a spray silicone, I also used on all the rubber door and top seals. Used white lube on the doors and tail gate latches.. I scrubbed them both top and flares first..
