Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.

What was done to your JK this week?

MetalCLoak 2.5"Gamechanger lift DONE! Dual-rate coil springs, new, longer shocks, super flexy joints, super strong control arms. Very happy with the articulation. Nicely capable. Will easily tackle the mountains of skulls when Skynet starts eliminating humans.

I FINALLY did something - anything - to my Jeep this week. It's been very slow in the Jeep department these days. I Hyperdipped the chrome on the steering wheel so I can finally call that project finished.

Did you powder coat or paint the fenders with duraline or did they come with that finish? Nice build!

What is everyone seeing height increase wise with the 2.5 game changer lifts? I know they advertise 2.5” but they generally are taller than advertised. Thanks for any help!

I got overall about 3 inches with it...until I:

-Added a HD bumper and swing gate +two 5 gallon gas cans

-about 200 lbs of underbody armor

-all of the camping /emergency stuff I took out during the lift install.

Now it's more like 1.5 inches. With all the added weight it's tougher to accelerate and brake.

If you keep it light, I think you'll maintain the org lift amount.

Thanks I appreciate your input! What under armor did you end up going with?

New muffler arrived. V8 has blown the guts out of the stocker and as it got noisier the power went up so suspect the stocker was holding the Chev back. Also added a M.O.R.E dead man pedal. What a nice addition that should have been on all Jeeps from the factory. Takes about 5 minutes to install.

UPDATE: The muffler is absolutely fantastic. The original stocker was simply plugged and starting to open a seam. That V8 comes to life with virtually no throttle at the lights. Got a bit of a throbby idle and under some power it can be heard outside. On highway cruising up slight hills at 70ish mph there is no noise noticeable. No drone and very pleased with this dynomax product Cat #53804. The install was easy and I greased the rubber hangers which made the hanger tabs slide right in there and exhaust connection was a perfect fit. New 2.5" band clamp and it took about 5 minutes to install after removal of the original. Bought through Walmart.ca and cost $230cdn with tax/delivery. Hell of a deal and recommend for others who wonder about a muffler change with possible drone after. To remove the old muffler simply use a chop saw and cut the muffler side steel round rod hangers by the flanged head that stops them from sliding back out the rubber hangers.
