JK Show & TellWhether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.
I just saw this topic now.
I installed OEDRO Bumpers on my car!
Very easy to install, I was also shocked that it came with 2 cube led lights! For this price I couldn't believe it.

We don’t need to waste money on some name brands, sometimes we can try some other things,my car looks cool now!
Welp, the time came. The transmission input shaft got a little too noisy for me to ignore it any longer.
I was just going to replace the transmission but I had to pull the front lower control arms to get the crossmember out. I've been meaning to swap out the joints for a while so I figured this was my opportunity. The arms themselves were in sad shape too so I took them all out to get them cleaned up. Then things got out of hand. The current list is:
Transmission (original)
Clutch (80k on this one, swapped last due to a throw out bearing)
Clutch master and slave cylinders (original)
Starter (original)
Fuel pump (original)
Front wheel bearings (not original, but one bad wheel speed sensor. Might as well change em)
Springs. I have RK 2.5" springs that are in pretty rough shape. I'd like to try Metalcloaks dual rate springs.
Shocks. My rear shock upper mounts have mostly dissolved. I have Fox shocks currently which I've been very pleased with, not sure which way I'll go next.
Rear track bar. Nothing wrong with the RK bar, but a while back I bought a red Steersmarts to match the front. Might as well swap it out now, right?
New hose for relocated evap can. The original developed a kink and an evap code due to the relocation.
Exhaust repair. Not sure to what extent yet but I had to cut two sections out for access. The shop that did the exhaust after the long arms welded everything from the cats back.
Control arm joints. I'm going to try out Metacloaks duroflex joints.
Control arms. More on that in a minute.
Suspension hardware.
Front sway bar end links. I might powdercoat the front sway bar too..
Strip and powdercoat the Rubicon rails.
Wire loom. All the stock wire loom turned to dust. I'll be replacing it with reflective heat shield.
Clean/Paint everything I can reach on the frame.
One of the gas tank skid bolts broke. I'm not sure if I'm going to fix that yet. Might let that go the way of the busted body mount bolt.
Bump stops. It's occurred to me that it may be a while before I trim any more sheet metal so I'm gong to add a little bumpstop to stop the minor rubbing I get at full flex.
Some list huh. I'm looking at this as the ten year overhaul. Once this is done, I shouldn't have much to worry about for another decade. And it seems like a lot of work, but really it's not so bad.
The most interesting items on my plate currently are the control arms. The plan has sort of evolved along the way. I originally wanted to modify the 2" solid bar RK arms to get duroflex joints at each end. I'd get them sandblasted, cut, drilled, tapped, and powdercoated or plated. Somewhere along the line, my buddy who helped me pull the trans suggested I just get stainless arms, to avoid the rust problems in the future. I think he was joking but I had a quote that afternoon for 2" solid round bar in 316 stainless and a machine shop who said they could do the cutting and tapping. Unfortunately, they don't have anyone who can bend that bar so I may be stuck with straight links if I go that route (the RK arms are bent for clearance). I know stainless isn't as strong as regular steel, but it's 2" solid bar on a Jeep.. I can't see it being a problem. Or maybe it could be, what do I know. So at this point I'm waiting for a quote to do that work. I have one very stubborn lower control arm bolt at the rear driver corner that I really don't want to break so I've been gently basting it with PB for a few days. I'll get all the new parts in while I wait for the arm saga to play out. I can't wait to get it back together, I really don't like daily driving my pickup.
Plus all the fun vehicles are sequestered elsewhere while the Jeep hogs the garage. This is my life now:
A side note: Earlier this year I thought three floor jacks was excessive. Now I feel like I could use another one.
Icrashbikes - I like that jack on those wheels, where did you buy that? Also I see you did not put bands and slip joints in the exhaust!! But a real going over none the less.
Yeah I had the exhaust made up at a shop. The exhaust saga was painful after getting the long arms done and I didn't pay a lot of attention to detail/just wanted it done.
The jacks are Pro Eagle. I have two, the 1.5 ton is barely visible under the jeep in the first picture and the 3 ton is the one you see. They are MASSIVE and beautifully made. Each one has a mounting bracket, two piece handle, tool bag, and extension. All said and done they aren't cheap. I don't have a single complaint about either though and I'd recommend them without hesitation.
This is the only other pic I have handy. The handle and tools stow in the bracket under the jack. Everything is there in one neat bundle. My plan is to mount the 1.5 on or in the Jeep but I haven't gotten there yet.
Installed a Rugged Ridge XOR front stubby bumper over the weekend.
Love it from this 3/4 view. Perfect width for what I wanted. May sit tighter to the grille on JL models. Immediately after install. May remove the bash bar in the future if I don't add the skid plate.
Shackles should have been delivered today so those'll be next.
Steel is here! I picked it up today and dropped off at the machine shop for drilling, tapping, and wrench flats. I bought the joints left and right hand thread for each arm, so I can turnbuckle them in place. I have almost no idea what I'm doing here so if anyone wants to step in and tell me I'm being stupid now that I've bought all the parts, have at it.
I don't know, I cut that crash bar out a long time ago. Honestly, it's such a small piece of channel compared to the other crossmembers or a big steel bumper I can't imagine it makes much difference. The next welded tube crossmember is just behind those front body mounts.
