What was done to your JK this week?
Thanks, its only 2 days old in that configuration. Just finished the winch install and tomorrow will put 2 lights on the bumper....that will be it for a while. I figured if I stayed with the basics I can't go wrong. There are many nice rims and bumpers out there, but for the money I think I did ok.
cleaned it finally, also got my new spare in and mounted.

not sure why they look way bigger mounted on the spare carrier...

oh thats because the tards sent me a 10" rim instead of the 8" i paid for. ORO plate holder/light will be here tuesday.

also removed all the stickers. as soon as someone will sell me some used 2dr rubi rails i'll put a project jk.com sticker on there.

and of course had to add a sticker with my motto on it.

Nothing too exciting here. This harness is designed to plug into a 7 pin connector
on a towing vehicle to make the JK's tail, brake and turn signals work when being
towed. It came with the absolute worst set of instructions I have ever seen, but I
managed to figure everything out and it works great without having to disconnect
the JK battery or pull any fuses. Literally, plug it in and tow.
What may be of more general interest to every one, is the relatively easy method
of getting a large electrical cable through the passenger side firewall. Since I was
going to trim my stock fenders anyway, I removed the passenger side fender and
liner for easy access to the passenger firewall. There is a pad of insulation on the
engine side of the firewall that is held on by a knob that can be removed by hand
to expose the sheet metal. I removed the two 13mm plastic nut/washers that hold
the carpet down in the passenger foot well, pulled back the carpet and drilled a
1-1/8" hole through the very thin sheet metal next to one of the studs. There is
plenty of room to drill holes in this area. A standard grommet and some RTV seal
the hole and with the insulation put back, you would think it was factory.
