What was done to your JK this week?

Are they locked in at all? What would stop someone from just grabbing them when you have your doors off? and are they water resistant at all? Sorry if I sound pessimistic, I just haven't been able to find answers to these questions.

I agree that the holder itself will be stronger, but the weight of the tire is still on the tailgate... Right?
Wouldn't it be better if we could make the tailgate stronger, not just the holder?
I mean, the tailgate will/may fail wayyy before the holder itself will detach from the door...

[QUOTE=chucktownjk07;1314536]they lock just like the stock headrest and are not water resistant. There are also some thick wires you would have to cut to remove them. You could just run waterproof seat covers with the top and doors off that would protect them. worst case senario your out only $190.
