I agree that the holder itself will be stronger, but the weight of the tire is still on the tailgate... Right?
Wouldn't it be better if we could make the tailgate stronger, not just the holder?
I mean, the tailgate will/may fail wayyy before the holder itself will detach from the door...

Defence package
Installed my self defence package - Streamlite Ultra Stinger and charger under drivers seat and hard wired into 12v outlet wiring - holster that came with my Springfeild XMD and bolted it into my center console. Love the way it all came out.
