What was done to your JK this week?
It was super-easy! The instructions are very explicit, with color pictures. The only way you can screw it up is if you can't understand English. The hardest part was convincing myself that I needed to drill a hole on a one-month-old plastic housing. But all went well in spite of my insecurity. The only deviation I made is to put a thin washer between the bracket and the inside of the plastic housing. Without the washer, the housing didn't sit flush against the body. But that could have been due to the drilled hole location. If it's off a couple thousandths, the housing might be affected. The mount was a little pricey for my budget, but I couldn't come up with a better way. I didn't want to mount the antenna on the spare tire bracket, because I don't want to flex the coax every time I open the tailgate, and I didn't want to drill into the body. Give it a try!

FWIW, Iv had the Ultra on mine for about six months and love it.
Got it with the four foot Firestik and it bumps the tail light housing once in a while but otherwise its great.
Only thing I wish is it was out far enough to install a spring for the antenna.
Hope this helps.

Just got it back from the dealer after they installed a 2.5 inch Rough Country coil suspension lift with 2.2 shocks. It rides better than I anticipated and no squeaks. Wheels spacers are here and 315 70R17 will be here tomorrow!
