2 door vs 4 door
The bigger issue IMO is that the seat doesn't lower much. I have it all the way lowered and backed, and still could use the seat to be a bit lower, and I'm only 6'. But I guess it all depends if your height is mostly in your lower or upper body.
We have a 4 dr and we also test drove the 2drs. I felt they had the same amount of room in them. Im 6'5 and I have short legs too.. 32" inseam... and I think they are both comfortable to drive. Definitely ALOT more room then my wife's old TJ.
i chose the 4 door because i wanted the extra cargo space which comes in handy and you don't have to spend extra time and money on add-ons like a roof rack or spare tire rack, etc. And the door come off the 4 door as well. Someone made a comment about getting a 2 door if you want to take the doors off on the trail...
Also, the trails that you choose really depend on whether or not a SWB (short wheel base) or lwb will benefit you. good luck.

But even with being that high, I still think the jk has more headroom then my Dad's H2.
Some say the SWB of the 2 door makes it better for wheel'n, but there are all kinds of kits available for the TJ to stretch the wheel base.
When I was wheel'n my old 4 door X (open front & LSD rear), I walked up this ledge. A guy in our local group with a fully locked front and rear TJ spun his tire for like 30 seconds before he made it up.
There are pros and cons of each. With the exception of high centering once, I've never been stuck where a swb rig had no problems.
My 4 door was great for taking my parents, and then my in-laws, wheel'n for the first time. They were scared to death on the rocks and laughing like little kids in the sandy hill climbs. To me, that makes the 4 door priceless.
The debate is endless....

ok, I do admit I look through the top of the wideshield... but thats how just about every vehicle I ever drove is.. except my dodge ram, I manage to look through about 3/4 of the way up.

I always drive it with the seat all the way up or almost and still can't see the hood (due to the wipers), while the JK I put it the lowest and can see alot of the hood, which is definatly better. I'm just saying I wish the seat went lower, it's not like it's an issue, but could be for someone taller.
