The trunk space in the 4 door is equal to any SUV. The 2 door trunk is very tight.

Trunk.... SUV.... poor kitties.

Soccer bus my a$$

But I have to admit for classic looks it's tough to beat the old school:

If my company vehicle allowance (I didn't say "car") didn't require 4 doors I'd still have the 2005 Rubicon Sahara Unlimited. Best of both worlds: 2 doors AND extra cargo space. Still it is nice to have the extra width of the JK, in the TJ you were still shouldered up against the door.

No kitties killed. My point is the 4 door Jeep can fit plenty of junk in it's trunk. Anything that can fit in my wifes SUV can fit in my Jeeps - except groceries.

I love my 4 dr, but the only reason I have it is because I have to. (wife and 3kids) If you plan on wheeling, get a 2 dr. If you want to be able to take your friends to the mall get a 4dr

I like my 2 door for wheelin', but a 4 door would be nice for campin' and carrying passengers on trips and such. I have a 4 year old and getting in and out for her is easy in the two door. But anyone bigger and it's a pain. Not to mention there is not much room for your stuff with the back seat in so I run a receiver rack on the hitch and it works out. No regrets here.

Yep, I'll probably never pull my doors cause it looks like something you'd see on blocks in LA.

I like my 2-door. I don't ever use the back seat, so to me it was a non-issue. I wanted something that looked more traditional, but I also like the 4 door - just not as much.

Just go with the 2 door. I think based on all the responses it is clear that EVERYONE thinks that is the better of the two choices. Just like the only real Jeep's nowadays are Rubicon's right??? Seriously though, I bought my first Jeep when I was 15, spent the next year under it trying to grow it for cheap, and have never been without a 2 dr jeep since. There may be more room in the back of a 4dr, but if you have a friend with a truck, that is going to be a better bet anyhow. Plus, if you are gonna throw someone in the back, do you really care how much room they have anyways?

I have a 2dr, but need a 4dr (4 kids, but one's a teenager and doesn't like to hang out with the family). If I were single or married without kids, I'd just get 2 dr.
