2012 Wrangler information thread
In my opinion, 3.73s will give you better MPGs in mixed driving and/or city driving, as well as more ability to tow, play offroad, and feel like you've got at least a little power under the hood.
The ONLY time the 3.21s or 3.07s are going to help you is if you are at 80 MPH on the interstate or freeway.
Otherwise, 3.73/4.10 gears all the way.

Important information regarding 2012 Rubicon orders
If you have already ordered a 2012 Rubicon with the 5-speed automatic transmission:
** 4.10 rear axle (sales code DMF) will be added to all Rubicon orders with automatic transmission that are in BX through D status.
** Sold orders will have DMF added to D1 status orders.
** 4.10 was thought to be standard for automatic transmission. Since this is not the case, Jeep is correcting orders to reflect the optional DMF. This applies to orders with an order entry date prior to July 7, 2011.

Excellent question. I would also like to know if there are any other "hidden benefits" to having the new COD model. Maybe they put spacers in the COD version to balance out the weight of the bumpers?
Just curious, but what are automatic headlamps? They trigger on and off depending on light availability? Or, toggle between low and high beam depending on oncoming traffic?
