2012 Wrangler information thread
Drove my new 2012 Rubicon home today, absolutely love it! It was a 200 mile trip, mixed Interstate plus thru Dallas, and the road manners with the new engine/transmission are excellent.
But when I got home and called my insurance company, Liberty Mutual, that's when I got hammered. My 2011 Rubicon was $504 a year for full coverage but they have changed the insurance ratings for the 2012 Rubicon and it will cost $728 a year! A 45% increase for the exact same coverage for almost the exact same MSRP just because the insurance ratings on the Wrangler are changed now. Geez...

Glad to hear the JK itself is running well and that you had a great trip home!
Just answered my own question. Called Chrysler phone # and told me it is tentatively set to be delivered to the dealership on Sept 10th. That's crazy... ordered the thing last week and it could be ready next month? Sweet!!!

I've send emails to 6 dealerships in the past few days, received only two responses, stopped into a few more, and I'm either met with 1)we don't know when they're coming in but you can place an order or 2)no response.
I have cash in hand and am ready to buy ASAP and I'm rapidly becoming irritated that I can't even get a dealership to respond to me.

There really isnt a lot different to take pics of! The OP hit most of it. Other than engine, trans, shifter gate on the auto and the evap can I posted earlier, it looks just like an 11. The engine bay is CRAMMED full, so very difficult to get decent pics of anything.
I went back to the dealer tonight to look at the 12 JKU Sahara, but its gone.
Mine's location was just updated to "On Truck" so when I get mine (very soon I hope) I will be glad to see what else I can post...
