2012 Wrangler information thread
Also, totally separate is this: the front of the 2012 Rubicon is exactly 1/2" lower in the front and 1/2" higher in the rear than my old 2011 Rubicon. Measured at the bottom edges of the rubber fender area in front of the front tire and the bottom edge of the rubber fender area behind the rear tire. Makes me wonder if there's more weight on the front of the Jeep now? hmmmm....
The neatest thing though is the warranty I bought. Fully lifetime (to the owner, me) with unlimited miles, unlimited years for as long as I own the Jeep. Everything from the front bumper to the rear bumper, exact same as the original factory warranty just unlimited years or miles AND is transferrable to any of my family members too. It includes, if needed, free towing, free car rental while in the shop, and if over 100 miles away from home, hotel room. It was too good to pass up.

Wow, good thing I didn't move there. I had an office in West Deptford for 3 years and stayed in Cherry Hill. BTW, I'm 57, no tickets, etc. either. However I am retired and that probably is the difference, since I have no work to go to it's considered a pleasure car from the insurance perspective.
I test drove a JKU 2012 this evening, my local dealer got their first 2012 in today. It's a Rubicon white with a matching white top. After driving my 08 the tranny felt a little funny, it shifted a couple gears within about 5 mile an hour a time or two. But it only had 6 miles on it when I got in it. I'm sure the computer needs to learn. Being new I didn't want to stand on it but I had a chance to punch it getting onto an interstate. I was pretty impressed how it pulled and the sound of the motor was excellent. It sounded like it had some power. I'm trading mine tomorrow for a 2012 JKU, I'll be joining the waiting game.
I don't see anything in any of my paperwork, window sticker, etc. that says it has to use 91 octane.

I like the prospect of this engine alot. I can see this motor being able to be tuned to produce many more ponies than it is rated at. I look forward to the upcoming owner reviews on and off road. You boys enjoy these new toys...
I ordered last Thursday, and haven't heard anything (although even though I asked, I wasn't expecting much...). Haven't called yet just cause I don't want to bug them, but if you already have a delivery date, then I assume you are D1 with a build date (?)

. No tickets, no points, no claims. Also I'm 41 for the record. They really reem you if you're under 25 here.
