2012 Wrangler information thread
I don't know which way to go. Buy a V6 Rubicon or a diesel Renegade. They are both the same price. New Zealand details in link below. This is the power of the diesel 460 N.m @ 2,000-2,600 rpm the new V6 347N.m @ 4300. The old V6 was 315 N.m @ 4000 rpm

Anyone know if the first builds of 2012's are coming from left-over frames intended for 2011's, that being why none of the colors have changed yet? I am curious at what point the plant will roll over to the new colors, and why they aren't available on the first build line.

I could have sworn they werent even starting to build until 7/25....

My understanding is that color selection is still limited due to the disaster in Japan. The plant that produces automotive industry colorants was impacted and it may take a while for them to get back to full production capacity. Until they get back to full production, they are concentrating on filling orders for the most common colors first.
ugh... I have the same prob - what is the fix?
Im completely saddened by this thread really , I used to own a 89 YJ ...had to interrupt my JEEP days with a MommyVan for 7 yrs...just bought a 2011 2door wrangler - not too impressed with power and gas milage all...to find out next years model is waty better ?
im pissed.

I just hope the 2012's come with an automatic bilge pump for the floorboards. I'm still waiting for a backordered rubber cowl piece to hopefully stop my 2011's water leak. I guess in the meantime, I could always grow some Chia floor mats, they might feel pretty nice barefooted this summer.
I get a sinking feeling to think of what would be happening now, if Chrysler were still in the boat business.

Yea, dont really know about that one...I like my Sahara with them. Honestly I plan to do flat fenders, so, if I dont like the painted ones the flats will come sooner than later. I havent really seen to many faded JK flares but I hated them on my TJ's.
