Even our 2010 with 25K was a 1/4 quart low at 5,000 in to the current oil change. Oddly enough the 4.2L in my 04 hasn't burned an ounce of oil in 112K, even with 10-12,000 oil change intervals.

These 2012 updates are great, keep them coming guys.
My plan is to dump the 1st oil change at around 500 miles. Then again around 1000-1200 miles, at that time ill change to synthetic.. plus ill change the break on oil from the pumpkins also. I got 4 oil changes free when I bought it. So changing the breaking out a few times b4 adding the synthetic isn't a prob..

I ordered a 2012 from Allen Samuels on 35W in Fort Worth but after they changed their agreement I got my money back. Their relationship with me is shot but if any of you want a 2012 Tan Rubicon Unlimitied, auto trans, dual tops, 411 gears, remote start... everything but leather and nav system, the one I ordered just showed up there lot today.

I still want a 2012 so today I went to Jeep.com and searched for all dealerships within 25 miles of my zipcode and sent every one but Allen Samuels the following email; Good afternoon, I am a tread lightly member which gives me the 1% below invoice on Chrysler products. I am going to order a loaded 2012 Rubicon Unlimited. I have been reading online where members are getting 2% below invoice from their dealers. I am checking with each of the dealers in DFW to see if I can get 2% below invoice locally before sending my money outside DFW. If you will honor the 2% below invoice for a tread lightly member I will order my jeep today. You can call me at #####.

I read where another member did this with positive results so I figured I would try it too. If any one of the 9 different dealerships will agree to 2% below invoice I will let you know who they are

Have a great day

WOW, best thing I ever did and I wish I would have done this to begin with. In less than an hour I already have Freedom and Don Davis dealerships agreeing to 2% below invoice and multiple others calling and checking with their GMs to do the same. My wife asked me if I learned my lesson with A.S. dealership and I did. GET IT IN WRITING! GET IT IN WRITING! GET IT IN WRITING! I won't give any dealership a dime until I have 2% below sticker in writing. The great thing about this is I now have multiple dealerships as backup if my first verbal agreement does not pan out when pen comes to paper

Little History: My agreement with Allen Samuels was only for 1% below invoice without any control or affiliate number (verbal agreement by their GM with my friend in the room to compete wtih the deals he gave two of my employees) and when I ordered the 2012 I was told 2% below invoice if my company had an affiliate number (agreed by one of the GM's salesman). Then two weeks ago Allen Samuel's GM told me with no affiliate number I had to pay MSRP. Only people with more cash than brains pays MSRP. Today I am laughing b/c I paid the $60 for the tread lightly membership which is a great cause and I now have multiple dealerships calling me to do the 2% below invoice. If Allen Samules would have honored their agreement I would have paid 1% below invoice to them today. This evening I will be purchasing my 2012 Rubicon for 2% below invoice.

If you are buying a 2011 you will get more than 1% below but with a 2012 you can just buy at the TL discount price without negotiation. You may even be able to get up to 2% below if you fight for it. All invoice pricing is printed right on the build sheet so ask them to show it to you.
I'm actually buying through USAA, I was just pointing out that the sales manager offering to do everyone on the JK board a favor by offering us $500 over invoice is not just a bad deal when compared to the TL or USAA discount, it amounts to almost nothing when you are looking at the Sport configuration.

Have you gotten good solid pricing thru USAA yet? I tried the website but it still shows 2011's. I had one dealer offer me $600 below invoice because I am with USAA. But didn't know if I could do better.

Try Moritz. Ask to speak to Lynn Shepard. She's the Internet manager there. I'm going to be dealing with her and she seems to be a VERY fair sales person as I've talked to her about a 2011 and decided on the 2012 but I'm going back to her.

No pricing yet, still waiting as well. I'm trying to decide between ordering Dozer or Crush, so maybe I'll make up my mind by the time the USAA 2012 pricing is available.

Color-Match Hard Top Price

Anyone who pick up there 2012 Jeep notice the MSRP on the window sticker was $735 less than the MSRP on the order sheet for the color match top?

I didn't notice this until I got home. I'm hoping the dealer corrects this and refunds the difference. I agreed to FFP, not FFP plus overly prices options!

All other options were identical MSRP price.
