2012 Wrangler information thread
I ordered 6/6, have a delivery date of 8/1 currently. But, I'm thinking it will be after 8/15 and maybe closer to 9/1 than 8/1

Even with a minute change to the dimensions, they do have to retool and reprogram the bots to accommodate the changes.
They could be running batches for tolerance calibration but those units probably won't see a dealership.
Just speculating.
Milous, not sure if you work for Chrysler, have a crystal ball or know the President but I wanted to say thank you for all of the great insight to everyone's questions. I have spent the last month searching around the net for 2012 information and I see you are helping a lot of people out on different sites. Thanks for all the information, Wade
I went to my local dealer Saturday to order a 2012 and they did everything they could to get me into a 2011 Rubicon instead. I asked to drive a base GC with the new 3.6 to help make my mind up. I drove a Laredo 4x2 which is the lightest way you can get a GC. I believe the curb weight is around 4500 lbs for a 2wd. Here is what I thought-
After driving the 3.8 Rubi I noticed rightaway that the 3.6 was smoother and quicker. Once you got the revs up it took off pretty well. I must say the auto and 3.21 combo seemed to have held the engine back. It looked like I was in economy mode. I am guessing in the Wrangler it will be a pretty good combo with 3.73's-410's. If I could get the 6 spd I would. I will be back to order my 2012 today.
PS- The dealer was a little freaked out by all the info I had on the 2012's(Thank You All)

I don't think any dealership is equipped to deal with anyone on this forum! We know too much. I can't blame them for trying to sell the 3.8's, I think they will be hiding the 3.6's in the back when they start arriving until they clear out the old inventory.
